| Beep-Töne beim Start |

Falls statt der Startup-Melodie ein oder mehrere Beeps erklingen kann dies mehrere Fehlerursachen haben: 1 Ein beep: Es wurde kein RAM erkannt. 2 Zwei beeps: Es wurde ein RAM Baustein nach der EDO Spezifikation eingesetzt. In das iBooks passen jedoch nur SDRAM SO-DIMMs. 3 Drei beeps: Das eingebaute RAM / Das zusäzliche RAM Modul weisen Fehler auf. 4 Vier beeps: Checksum Fehler im Boot-ROM. Falls beim Start eine Dialogbox erscheint mit der Meldung: Built-in memory test has detected an error sollte man -falls vorhanden- den im Steckplatz befindlichen RAM Baustein entfernen und neu starten. Ein "default catch!" Error beim Start ist meist auf ein inkompatibles RAM-Modul zurückzuführen. |
