 Die mit dem Apple PowerMac G4 Cube gelieferten Design USB Speaker von Harman Kardon funktionieren auch am Clamshell iBook. Da der Standard USB Anschluß den Verstärker jedoch nur mit 2,5Watt Leistung beliefert (die Cube USB Ports bieten eine 10W Versorgung), bleibt die Lautstärke jedoch nur bei einem Drittel bis der Hälfte der möglichen Leistung. Für eine qualitativ hochwertige Wiedergabe bei Zimmerlautstärke ist das jedoch ausreichend.
