 Eine tolle Möglichkeit, das im Vergleich zur Windows Plattform magere Games-Angebot zu erweitern war die Connectix Virtual Game Station. Mit dieser Software (Kostenpunkt rund 50 Euro) konnte man die meisten Playstation 1 Spiele auf jedem G3 iMac, Powerbook oder iBook flüssig ohne Qualitätsverlust spielen. Es gab verschiedene Versionen für PAL und NTSC Spiele.Auch Joysticks und Gamepads ließen sich nutzen, nur Forcefeedback Controller und Pistolen wurden nicht unterstützt. Nachdem Sony vergeblich gerichtlich versuchte, Connectix am Vertieb der Software zu hindern, kaufte der Konzern kurzerhand die kleine Firma auf und nahm das Produkt vom Markt. Die Virtual Game Station ist heute nur noch gebraucht. z.B. über Ebay zu erwerben. Es gibt noch eine archivierte Webseite (lange Ladezeit) mit Kompatibilitätsliste der spielbaren Playstation Games |

Tangerine? Is it the fact that Tangerine is among the least popular choices of color for the iMac, or just the fact that its ugly that Apple chose it to be half the color options for the iBook? Very strange indeed although Steve Jobs' choices have proven fairly on track so far. :-) While many had hoped the iBook would be priced a little cheaper than US$1600, when you consider the feature set, it is a great price indeed. There are no comparable Wintel laptops with anywhere near the power of a 300 MHz G3 in that price range. The iBook will be a huge success. Not "could" be, "will" be. Dave Hamilton and John F.
