Wertverlust des Clamshell iBooks

Wer sich im Spätsommer 1999 das neue iBook im Apple Store bestellt hat, musste dafür umgerechnet 1917 Euro bezahlen und damit etwa doppelt soviel wie für ein MacBook heute oder genauso viel wie fÃ¼r ein MacBook pro. Daran sieht man, wie stark die Hardwarekosten für Notebooks in den letzten 6 Jahren gefallen sind.

Geht man davon aus, dass die iBooks in der Originalkonfiguration in gutem Erhaltungszustand noch über 200 Euro beim Verkauf bei Ebay einbringen ergibt sich ein überschlägiger Wertverlust seit 1999 von 22 Euro im Monat.

Seit einigen Monaten steigen die Gebrauchtpreise des Clamshell iBooks sogar leicht an, sodass man von einer Trendumkehr sprechen kann: Wer in letzter Zeit ein Clamshell iBook erworben hat macht aufgrund des Kultstatus der Modellreihe -zumindest theoretisch- Gewinn.
