Auf der Apple Expo 2000 in Paris wurden die Second Edition Modelle vorgestellt. Die Vorteile im einzelnen: - Prozessortakt 366Mhz und 466Mhz, modifizierter Prozessor IBM PowerPC 750cx, mit geringerer Leistungsaufnahme (4 Watt statt 7 Watt) mit 256 KB level 2 (L2) cache der gleich schnell wie die CPU lief - ATA 66 statt ATA 33 Controller mit höherem Datendurchsatz - 8MB statt 4MB Grafik, DVD Filme können wiedergegeben werden - größere Festplatte 10 GB statt 6 bzw. 3,2 GB - Video out (composite) Anschluss für PAL oder NTSC - Firewire Port - DVD Laufwerk (nur 466 Mhz Modelle) |
